Former Kansas State star Michael Beasley has yet to really earn his keep as the No. 2 overall selection in the 2008 NAB Draft. However, there are a number of teams apparently chasing Beasley as a free agent on the open market in hopes that he can continue to grow as a scorer and realize his potential with their team. The latest and perhaps the team pushing hardest is the Phoenix Suns, according to Paul Coro, the Suns beat writer for the Arizona Republic
Beasley has played two full seasons apiece with the Miami Heat and Minnesota Timberwolves. Last season in Minny, he averaged a career low 11.5 points and 4.4 rebounds per game just one season after setting a career high with 19.2 points per game.
The Detroit Pistons are also reportedly in the mix for Beasley.
